The Access to Information Act (ATIA) provides a method to request records held by public bodies that is not available by other means. A General Access Request will allow you to make a single request to a Government of Alberta department. If you want to make a request to another public body (such as a municipality or a police service), please contact the appropriate Access to Information (ATI) Office.

General Access Request

To determine if you need to make a request or for help completing the form, contact the ATI Office of the public body to which you are making the request.

A General Access Request is a request for access to records that are not the personal information of the applicant. If you are requesting access to records containing personal information about yourself or an individual you are authorized to represent, please submit a Personal Access Request.
