The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Honourable Tara Sawyer, welcomes the Secretaries, Ministers, Directors, and Commissioners of agriculture and rural development from the states and the provinces of the countries within North America. Members of the agriculture industry are also welcome. This Accord is not open to the general public.

The Tri-National Agricultural Accord is the primary opportunity for senior state and provincial agricultural officials of the United States, Canada and Mexico to work together on agricultural trade and development issues. The Accord represents a longstanding commitment to collaboration on trade between the three countries, and the current meeting arrangement dates back to 1992. Alberta will host the 35th Tri-National Agricultural Accord in Calgary on Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2026 at the Hotel Arts Downtown. 

Registration includes:

  • Breakfasts and lunches
  • Daily sessions
  • Gala event and dinner
  • Transportation to tours and Gala venue
  • Choice of one out of three tours subject to availability on September 28

What is the cost to register for the Accord?

The cost to register for the Accord:

  • Before August 16th, 2026: $435 CAD.
  • After August 15th, 2026:  $525 CAD.

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted payment methods include Visa Credit, Visa Debit, MasterCard, Debit MasterCard, American Express, and Apple Pay. Interac Online is not available.
All payments are processed securely through TD Merchant Services and are charged in Canadian dollars.

Where can I get a copy of my registration receipt?

A receipt will be sent to the email address provided during the payment process. Please print or save a copy for your records, as additional copies will not be mailed out.

How do I cancel my registration?

To cancel your registration, email tri-nationalaccord2026@gov.ab.ca before August 15th, 2026. Refunds will not be issued after this date.

Can I transfer my ticket/registration to someone else?

Yes, registrations can be transferred. Please email tri-nationalaccord2026@gov.ab.ca with your confirmation number and the contact details of the person you wish to transfer your registration to.

Who books my hotel accommodations?

Attendees are responsible for booking their own accommodations directly with Hotel Arts Downtown Calgary using the registration link.

  • Luxury One King – $279.00 CAD
  • Luxury Two Queens – $279.00 CAD

Additional details:

  • Rates exclude applicable taxes and fees (currently 17%, including a 6% Calgary Destination Marketing Fee, 6% Tourism Levy, and 5% GST; subject to change).
  • Rates include up to two adults per room.
  • Additional adults (18+) will be charged $30 per person, per night.
  • GST-exempt groups must provide a valid exemption letter in advance; adjustments will be made after the stay.

Is there parking available?

Yes, complimentary on-site self-parking is available for hotel guests. Larger vehicles can also be accommodated in the surface lot with no height restrictions.

Where will I pick up event materials?

Event materials will be available at registration desks located at Hotel Arts and the Fairfield Marriott starting at 9:00 a.m. on September 28th.

How can I sign up for tours on September 28th?

Tour options will be posted as they are finalized. Please check the Accord 2026 website for updates and return to this registration page to make your selections.

Tour registration can be completed after your event registration.

Are meals provided?

Yes, meals are included with registration as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 29th – Breakfast, Lunch, Gala Dinner
  • Wednesday, September 30th – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Thursday, October 1st – Breakfast

What is the Accord attire?

Business attire is recommended throughout the Accord. Western wear is recommended for the rodeo on September 30th.

  • A full refund will be offered with cancellation before August 15th.  After August 15th no refund will be offered.
